Standby gas turbine SCADA/DCS delivered for reliable capacity

Leichhardt Power Station provides standby generation to support Mount Isa when demand exceeds Diamantina Power Station’s output. Our Team supplied the BOP SCADA and DCS solution end-to-end—hardware selection, PLC/SCADA software, documentation and commissioning—tailored for a 60 MW dual-fuel gas turbine with 2 InTouch SCADA servers and 1 redundant ControlLogix PLC.

The result is a robust, fully documented control platform that safeguards contractual offtake requirements: reliable power when it’s needed most.

About the Leichhardt Power Station Plant

Leichhardt is a standby power facility for the Mount Isa network. It is dispatched when the available capacity from Diamantina Power Station is insufficient to meet industrial and community demand. By operating as a peaking/backup plant, Leichhardt strengthens local supply resilience and ensures obligations under offtake agreements are met.
