project Specifics

Delivering a 35,000T caustic storage facility with seamless plant integration

The Orica Chemicals Yarwun Plant required a new caustic storage terminal at Fisherman’s Landing, part of a $15M investment to expand operations. The project scope included the design and installation of a 35,000 tonne GeoTank storage facility, supported by a 370m transfer pipeline from Fisherman’s Landing Wharf and a 5.5km buried delivery pipeline to Yarwun. This major infrastructure upgrade ensured reliable caustic supply and enhanced operational efficiency.

A successful, large-scale project delivered on time and to specification.

The Orica Chemicals Yarwun Plant plays a key role in producing and distributing chemicals to industrial clients across Queensland. The plant manages the safe storage and transfer of bulk chemical products, ensuring reliable supply chains for downstream operations. Its expansion at Fisherman’s Landing was critical to supporting higher capacity and improving logistical efficiency.
